Naperville, IL – Today, Bill Foster for Congress announced the endorsement of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D, IL-09). Foster, a former scientist and businessman, has represented the IL-11th District since 2013.
“I am truly honored to be endorsed by Congresswoman Schakowsky – she has been a champion for Democratic causes and I look to her leadership in the House,” said Foster. “Jan has consistently stood with working families and worked to advance our country in the right direction.”
Congresswoman Schakowsky emphasized Bill Foster’s unique background and long track record of supporting key items of the Democratic agenda.
“Bill Foster has been a champion for progressive Democratic policies including expanding and protecting the Affordable Care Act, a $15 minimum wage, science-based policy to combat climate change, and steadfastly defending a woman’s right to choose. We need our scientist in Congress. I am proud to endorse him for re-election,” said Schakowsky.
Bill Foster also announced the endorsement of the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois and Ironworkers Local 393 (Aurora, IL) today, adding to his campaign’s growing momentum in the IL-11th District.
