Naperville, IL – Bill Foster for Congress announced the endorsement of the Sierra Club earlier today, marking another major national endorsement for Bill Foster’s re-election campaign. Bill Foster is a scientist and businessman who has represented the 11th Congressional District of Illinois since 2013.
“I’m truly honored to be endorsed by the Sierra Club – I promise to continue protecting our environment and fighting back against President Trump’s harmful and anti-science environmental policies,” said Foster. “As the only Ph.D. physicist in Congress, I have worked hard to protect federal investment into research critical for combating climate change, and co-sponsored the 100% Clean Economy Act to emphasize my support for the goal of getting the U.S. to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.”
The Sierra Club is a national organization dedicated to defending America’s environment and increasing the use of clean energy solutions to combat climate change.
