Naperville, IL – Today, the Foster for Congress campaign announced that Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) is endorsed by Mayor Jeff Schielke of Batavia, Village President Mark Gaffino of North Aurora, and Mayor Haig Haleblian of Crystal Lake. Collectively, these communities make up a large portion of the new 11th Congressional District of Illinois.
“I can’t think of a better person to represent Batavia and the entire Fox Valley in Congress than Bill Foster,” said Mayor Schielke. “Not only has Bill lived in this area for decades, but he raised his family here, and he worked for 24 years right here in Batavia at Fermilab, one of America’s leading national laboratories. Over the course of his time in Congress, I’ve watched Bill fight to make sure our communities receive important federal resources to enhance our infrastructure, which is especially important as Batavia and Kane County continue to grow and attract more families and businesses. Bill Foster will represent us with thoughtfulness and with a true understanding of what our community needs to thrive, because it’s been his community too. I’m proud to endorse him.”
Village President Gaffino said, “I’m proud to endorse Bill Foster for reelection to Congress. Bill has proven experience in both business and science, and he has a record of working across the aisle to get things done. We need more of that in Washington.”
BILL FOSTER is a scientist and businessman representing the 11th Congressional District of Illinois in the U.S. Congress.
