Naperville, IL – Today, Bill Foster issued the following statement after Joe Biden announced his vice presidential running mate, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris.
“I’m thrilled with Joe Biden’s decision to select Kamala Harris to be his running mate and the next Vice President of the United States,” said Foster. “As the only Ph.D. physicist in Congress, I know Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will bring back fact-driven, scientifically sound policies that will help our nation turn the page on the Trump presidency.”
“I know Kamala Harris will bring the same energy and dedication that has defined her career to serving our nation as our next Vice President.”
Kamala Harris currently serves as a United States Senator from California and previously served as California Attorney General. She will be the first African American or South Asian American on a major party ticket.
Bill Foster is a scientist and businessman who has represented the 11th Congressional District of Illinois since 2013.
